Troubleshooting for Majestic
Problem: Red Caution Light Lit, Loss of Suction or Overheating of the Motor
Cause | Correction |

Clogged Flat Disc Filter | Replace Flat Disc Filter. |
Obstructed Hose | See instructions (pg.6 Majestic Owner’s Manual) under “Power Nozzle Does Not Operate.” |
Obstructed Wand | Run long wire or a straightened coat hanger through wand. |
Obstruction at neck of Power Nozzle | See instruction (pg.4 Majestic Owner’s Manual) under “Power Nozzle Does Not Operate.” |
Filter Cone coated with extremely fine dust | Empty Dirt Container and replace Filter Cone. Flat Disc Filter may also need to be replaced. |
Problem: Machine will not operate
Cause | Correction |
---|---|
Plug not connected to outlet, or a faulty one | Insert plug firmly into wall outlet or try another outlet. |
Motor overheated and tripped automatic shut-off | Turn power switch to “O” off and unplug power cord from wall. Let unit cool. Check for blockage in attachment. Filter cones or discs may also need to be replaced. |
Damaged switch, damaged motor, or damaged power cord plug | Call your local FilterQueen® Distributor for service. |
Problem: Power Nozzle does not operate or pick up debris
Cause | Correction |
---|---|
Power Nozzle on/off switch is “O” off | Move Power Nozzle on/off switch to “I” on. |
Hose plugs not connected | Review instruction on attaching the Power Nozzle, making sure all plugs are firmly connected. |
Brush is not turning | Make sure all electrical plugs are firmly connected. Push reset button on back of nozzle. If this does not work, call your local FilterQueen® Distributor for service. |
Obstructed neck | Run a wire through opening. |
Obstructed wand | Remove the hose from inlet and attach to the exhaust port to blow out clogged debris. |
Obstructed hose | Remove hose from inlet and attach to exhaust port to blow out clogged debris. |
Worn Brush | Call your local FilterQueen® Distributor for service. |
Circuit Breaker Tripped | Unplug cord and check for an obstruction. After obstruction is cleared, push reset button on back of nozzle. If this does not work, call you local FilterQueen® Distributor for service. |
Troubleshooting for Defender
